Nena And The Superyeahs (or NATS) are a five piece band which cannot be easily identified with a specific music genre: electronic, electro-pop, pop, electro-rock, dance-rock...all these genres could be appropriate but none of them, alone, is enough in order to comprehensively describe their sound. Simply, we must listen to them.
Since they formed in 2006, media increasingly focused their attention on NATS: first the victories in major music competitions (Operazione Soundwave 2008 on MTV, Heineken Jammin' Contest 2008, Ypsigrock Contest 08, Emergenti 2007, Sconcerti 2007 and Nuovi Suoni Live 2007), then Italian and International festivals (Coca-Cola Live @ MTV, Give It a Name, Heineken Jammin' Festival, Cube Festival, Ypsigrock Indie Festival) and also important live openings for artists like The Cure, John Legend, Planet Funk, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Bedouin Soundclash, Art Brut and many more.
In 2009, the NATS released three singles for Sugar Music and accomplished to their first Italian Tour (more than 40 concerts all over the Country). In January 2010,their first European tour included gigs in France and UK.
Another summer full of concerts in Italy accompanied the band to the intense work in studio for producing their first Album, “Electric Lane”, released digitally in April 2011 (on Label/Publisher Metatron, Distribution Believe) and released physically on the 1st of September 2011 (Venus distribution). Since September 2011, Nena And The Superyeahs are promoted and distributed in Scandinavia by the Swedish label Electric Fantastic Sound.
Furthermore, "A Little Of You" is part of the compilation "Japan - A Benefit CD" and Relax will be part of the soundtrack of the American TV serie "Girlhattan".
